We have studied Geometry this week and children seemed to be really engaged. They have been working with 3-D shapes, investigating their properties. We have handled several ones, some of which were see-through and needed some assembling skills.
We have been exploring which faces were curved; which were flat; what is a vertex; that the edge is where two faces meet; that some shapes can roll! We have explored which shapes some objects have such as a can, tissue roll, Pringles tube, a fridge etc.
They have also started to make their own 3-D shapes.
Some green slips have been issued for excellent class work!
