End of Autumn 1 Term!

Assalamu Alaikum Year 5 and Parents,

I pray you are all in the best of health In Sha Allah!

Well, we have come towards the end of a very exciting and productive and first half term! The class have enjoyed a range of activities in their subjects and I have manage to see vert fast progress in some of the children! I have been trying my best to ensure each child can fulfill their potential and I hope to see more improvement in each and every child in Year 5 in their learning.

The standards of expectations I have for Year 5 in Autumn Term 2 is a lot higher now that they have learnt a lot more in Autumn 1. As parents, please ensure that you are keeping track of you’re children’s progress from home and are encouraging them to reach their highest potential in home learning also.

I have set quite a bit of homework for this term as your children have a week and a day to complete. Homework will be due back on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 as we start Term 2.

It is the children’s responsibility to complete their homework, and yours to encourage them.

Those who do not complete homework will have to complete this in school, in their lunch detention.

The homework that has been set as as follows:

English (2 Sheets: Subordinate Clauses and Vikings Expanded Noun Phrases

Maths (2 Sheets: Calculate the Perimeter of Rectilinear Shapes and Measuring Perimeter).

Science (1 sheet: Create a key) – Write it, do not cut if double sided.

Topic (1 sheet: European Rivers)

RE (1 sheet: Matching Hindu Symbols and Their Meanings) – Write the correct meanings (do not cut)

QAIS: This will be given by their teacher!
