Year 3/4 Trip – British Museum

Year 3 are going to take part in a workshop about Roman Coins and ignite curiosity in History through immersive experiences in the Roman Gallery.
Year 4 are going to explore the Department of Ancient Egypt which is a department forming a historic part of the British Museum, housing the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of Egyptian antiquities (with over 100,000 pieces) outside the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
Learning themes: using observations to draw conclusions; finding out about Roman/Egyptian ways of life; comparing ancient tools to modern ones; observing ancient artefacts.
Please make sure your child wears full school uniform on the day including black school shoes.
Black trainers will not be permitted.
Remember that your child will be Suffah Primary School’s ambassador and we want them to look very smart and to show the best of manners.
Children will use their plimsolls’ bag with the school logo to carry their belongings.
A morning snack (such as crackers, fresh or dried fruit, chopped raw veg but no yogurt please), a healthy lunch and a bottle of water have to be provided. Sweets, crisps, fizzy drinks, juice, yogurt, lollipops, chewing gums and chocolate bars are not allowed on this trip.
