Gunnersbury Museum!

Asalaam Alaykum parents I pray you are all well.

On Thursday we went on our trip to Gunnesbury Museum and Alhamdulillah’s it was a success! The children had a brilliant time especially during the GFOL workshop.

JazakAllah to sister Zahera for accompanying us on the trip and to the other parents who put their name forward.

We began our trip by watching a short video about the history of the museum, many people aren’t aware that the museum used to be home to the Rothschild family who bought the mansion in the 1830’s. A lot of the old fireplaces, chandeliers and stunning art are still there and kept in good condition by the museum staff.

The children got a chance to explore the servant’s rooms, butler rooms and use the grand stair case. We even got to dress up in some of the clothes from the 1830’s.

The workshop was the best part of the day. MashAllah the knowledge the children have gathered about the GFOL had really paid off as they were able to get involved, and I mean really involved!

We had some children dress up as the maids, Samuel piepes and King Charles II!

Jazakum Allahu Khayran
