Assalamu Alaykum Dear Parents 🙂
So this week we learnt all about our school and along with it, what our favourite things are!
We discovered lots of new things about each other alhumdulillah. Some about our family and some about our favourite fruit and vegetables etc
Lets a sneak peak into our week…
Circle Time/Story Time
In circle time this week, we had lots of Show and Tell! Children bought in their favourite items from home every day and showed it to their friends mashaAllah.
We also watched a video about our school and the people who help us learn… Children were ecstatic to see their school on the big screen!
Our phonics session this week was very productive. All the children were confident in recognising the letters A and S and eventually were giving examples of words beginning with these letters/sound mashaAllah.
Of course we made sure we did our daily workout too!
This week we continued to practice the Dua for Knowledge ‘Rabbi Zidni Ilma’ (Oh Allah, Increase me in Knowledge 20:114)
We learnt to say “JazakAllah” and that it means May Allah give you a present.
We learnt that we should say “Alhumdulillah” after we sneeze.
We spoke about the Prophet Mohammad (SAW) and how kind he was. We decided we will follow in his footsteps and show kindness to others too.
We are currently learning the Islamic months and we are practicing our Arabic alphabets.
P.s- Friday is Mini-Eid! So children can come dressed up (in comfortable clothing) if they wish to inshaAllah.
Our topic next week will be ALL ABOUT MY SENSES.
We would like parents to help children explore their senses through the week. Please encourage him/her to identify items they can see/hear/touch/smell and taste. Help them use a range of words to elaborate their speech and vocabulary, as well as develop their understanding of the world.
Please remember, Suffah Nursery and Primary school is a NUT – FREE school.
Please only send in healthy food items. Please do not send in items containing chocolate in any form.
Please make sure we have a pair of spare clothes for your child. Speak to a member of the Nursery team for more information.
Please make sure you DO NOT bring your child to school if he/she or any other member in the family displays any symptoms of Covid 19. In addition please let the school know if your child, or any other family member in your home, has been in contact with someone who has Covid 19 symptoms. It is our responsibility to keep all the children as well as staff members safe from any potential transmission whilst at school.
