Assalamu Alaykum Parents 🙂
As mentioned in my last blog, the topic of this term is “People who help Us”. We began learning about all the ways people of various professions help us.
This week we’ve been very busy helping people and animals, feel better. We’ve been learning about DOCTORS, Vets and Paramedics too!
Through discussions, creative activities and participation in dramatic play, children come to understand how and why doctors and nurses are important members of communities, helping people to stay healthy and to heal when they are sick. They also gain confidence in relation to their own medical experiences and overcome any anxieties they may have developed towards medical professionals.
Lets take a look at our week…
This term, we have taken a different route to learning and development in our PSED (Personal, Social and Emotional Development) area. We have decided to have discussions about various situations and circumstances that children may face in their day to day lives. For example, what do you do if someone does not share? what do you do if you feel angry?
Each discussion was linked with what Islam teaches us and whether that particular action will please Allah or not.
This week’s emphasis was on the importance of our Parents and that they are a gift from Allah to us.
We also worked on our sounds and played different games recognising objects according to their initial sound.
To add to the fun, we have been learning numbers in Arabic and German too! 😉
In Islamic studies this week, we have been practising our tasbeeh words:
SUBHANALLAH — Praise be to Allah, ALHUMDULILLAH — Thank you Allah, ALLAH HU AKBAR — Allah is great.
Please encourage your child to recite these words in the number of times that is rewarding, so it becomes a rewarding habit for them.
On Friday, we spoke about the different Prophets Allah (swt) sent down and why. We discussed what “Ummah” means and that we are the Ummah of Prophet Mohammad (pbuh).
WORLD BOOK DAY is on Thursday, 5th March 2020. For more information visit: http://suffahschool.hounslow.sch.uk/world-book-day-in-nursery/
We will be repeating aspects from World Book day on Friday, for the ones who do not attend nursery on Thursdays.
If you would like your child to participate in World book day, and your child does not attend nursery either Thursday nor Friday, please speak to one of the nursery staff members. We will try our utmost best to accommodate the child’s wishes inshaAllah.

Please label your child’s valuables…
Please can you label your child’s valuable items (bottle, lunchbox, hats, jacket etc). This is because recently valuables are being mixed up and many children are bringing in similar items to their peers too. Thank you.
