Quran and IS (Y5) w/c 29th Nov-19

Y4 Islamic studies,

What we covered last week:

This Friday we started with a new chapter which is Signs of the Last Day I. This includes the two type of signs minor and major signs.


Islamic studies homework is available in the student’s Workbook for each chapter starting from P16, 23, 27, 32 and the HW for the last week was P 37.

What we will cover next week:

Next week we are going to study the Day of Judgement, then the homework would be given.

Y4 Quran

In general, Quran class is divided in the following order, 1 hour for memorization (reciting by heart), 1 hour for Nazraah (reciting by looking) and half-hour for Tajweed rules every week theory and practise.

What we covered this week:

We started our method by increasing student’s memorization, you can find his/her homework in their diary.

Furthermore, we are reciting this week Surah Al-Allaa and Al-Qashiyah, we had read these two Surah 8 times in the class, and their homework is to read it 7 times the same HW at home.


Last week in Tajweed class, we were practising Meem Sakinah rule which is one of the main Tajweed rules.

What we will cover next week:

Next week, we will start revision which will cover All Tajweed rules Noon Sakinah and Meem Sakinah during Tajweed classes before the assessment at the end of this term.
