Assalamu Alaykum Parents 🙂
This term’s theme, “People who help Us” is going brilliantly and there is so much the children are learning about mashaAllah.
This week we pretended to work for a POST OFFICE and become TEACHERS. It was also SCIENCE WEEK in the nursery and WHAT a fun packed week we have had, if I must say so myself 😉
From discovering new things and being creative, to going on adventures and developing our imagination! Everyday was as exciting than the last alhumdulillah.
JazakAllahu khayrun to all the parents who participated. I must say we were super impressed with all of the entries and the number of books that were read to the children mashaAllah. Well done everyone!
Alhumdulillah we have 3 winners!
Aisha, Amani and Bilal. WELL DONE Mummies (& Daddies)!
Unfortunately due to current circumstances, many of the children are not attending Nursery at the moment. Therefore the nursery team is not able to hand out tokens of appreciation to everyone for participating & prizes to our winners. InshaAllah once everyone is back, we will make sure to do what we intended to properly.
May Allah have mercy on us all and protect us and our loved ones from any harm Ameen.
REMINDER: The purpose of this competition was to encourage parents to read to their children. Parents are the most important educators in a child’s life – even more important than their teachers – and it’s never too early to start reading together.
Studies show that reading for pleasure makes a big difference to children’s educational performance. So a minimum of 4 to 5 books should be a read every day! Click on http://suffahschool.hounslow.sch.uk/read-with-me/ for more information on how to read to your child.
The priority in circle time this week was to discuss the importance of good hygiene practice, especially hand washing.
We all practised how to wash our hand properly whilst counting to 20.
We also watched videos on how post men/women help us. We learnt about what happens when we post a letter and the process involved within it.
This week we continued practising our Surah Asr.
Alhumdulillah the children are doing really well with their Duas and Surahs.
Please continue reciting and practising all the Duas and Surahs that we do in the nursery to help children with their memorisation.
The latest government advice regarding Corona-virus is that if you or anyone in your household has any of the Corona-virus symptoms then the entire family must self isolate for a period of 14 days.
As of today (17th March) we are asking parents to please follow this advice and keep your children at home for 14 days if anyone in the house has a fever and/or a new and continuous cough.
Any advice you were given yesterday is now out of date.
If you are unsure about what you should do in regards to your own situation, or have any questions please do not hesitate to call or email the school for clarification.
For those of you currently self isolating I kindly request that you keep school updated as to your situation.
May Allah protect us all. Ameen
Please label your child’s valuables
Please can you label your child’s valuable items (bottle, lunchbox, hats, jacket etc). This is because recently valuables are getting mixed up and many children are bringing in similar items to their peers too. Thank you.
Suffah is a Nut-Free school.
Please remember Suffah primary and Early years is a NUT FREE school therefore any items containing Nuts will not be allowed. Please be VERY careful about what your child brings in for snack as we have children with Nut allergies in the school.
Unhealthy snack items
Please also remember we do NOT allow unhealthy snacks; for example, any chocolate items, juices and crisps etc. Please help us teach your children healthy eating concepts.
