Assalamu Alaikum dear parents,
I pray you are all in the best of health, In Sha Allah Ameen.
We have come towards the end of another hard working week and the children are displaying unity, communicating well and showing a positive learning attitude towards their education. In Maths, we have been learning about place value, rounding, counting on and less than/greater than, whilst using a range of activities for the children to feel confident enough to express their abilities and potential. I am ensuring each child is engaged in the lessons, whilst also rewarding them for their efforts no matter what they may be. In English, we have been learning about inference, summarizing and predicting whilst exploring the wonderful text; The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The children have worked hard to study key words from the book whilst engaging themselves in deep character explorations and studying why certain events are unfolding in the story.
The children have also started studying Ancient Egypt, and I have to say, I was blown away by the amazing information the children were telling me! I can tell, the children are keen and this will In Sha Allah help both the teacher and students to achieve more and more. The children are also starting to learn communication skills and building their teamwork. The children are encouraged to work collectively and as a team, whilst displaying sportsmanship and kindness to another.
I have ensured children have homework that keeps them engaged with the content of their learning and the pupils have also started routine, morning activities which they do each morning, which expands their creativity, thinking skills, SPAG skill set all whilst adding fun activities throughout. The children seem to be enjoying their learning, and they are all keen to impress and widen their knowledge. A reminder that by now you would have all received logins for the children’s email accounts. This is so you can access a Curriculum Presentation I have put together in a lot of detail, to give supportive strategies to help parents and children with their learning. I have outlined what we will cover this year too and have attached a voiceover to make the process as smooth as possible to guide you all. This is a lovely class, and an absolute pleasure to teach. May Allah SWT keep them all safe, blessed and happy as well as the parents and all staff members in the school.
