Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu Dear Parents and Carers, I hope this reaches you in the best of health and Imaan.

Please remind your child/children to make a habit of reciting a surah every morning as the benefits and merits of reading the Quran are enormous; the Prophet (S.A.W) said there are ten merits for reading each letter of the Quran and alif-laam-meem are three letters, their reward is thirty merits.

Surah to learn are : Al- Bayyinah, Al-Qadr, Al- Alaq, At-Teen and Ash-Sharh.

and revise previous Surahs ( An-Naas to Az-Zalzalah)

To revise from the ‘Let’s learn to read the Quran book 2’ the letters with double Fathah, Kasrah, and Dhammah on them are pronounced with the equivalent of a Noon with Sukoon.

So the double Fathah gives the sound of “Ann”, the double Kasrah “Inn” and the double Dhammah “Unn”.  (Units 7,8 and 9).

In Arabic lessons, we have been learning about opposites (i.e kabiirun/Saghiirun=big/small).

Islamic studies:

  • Last week was assessment week
  • Seerah of the Prophet (SAW)

Please revise previous lessons during the half term break insha’Allah.

I ask Allah SWT to keep you all safe in this half-term and I look forward to seeing you all on the 3rd of November insha’Allah.

Ustadhah Arami.
