I hope you are all well. In Year 6 this week we have been very busy. As well as commencing with Baseline tests. We have also had Roald Dahl week where the pupils have learned about the history of Roald Dahl and some of his most famous books. To balance the load of having to sit various tests this week, the pupils have also had opportunities to continue with some fun activities regarding Roald Dahl. They have produced some outstanding front covers for some of his most popular books as well as creating annotated potions. Examples of these are shown in the pictures below.
Moreover, during this week we have also started reading a version of the story of Aladdin for Guided Reading. The children have so far seemed to really enjoy the book and have become very engaged during the lessons. The passion for reading across Year 6 is apparent and I wish this continues throughout the year.
Jazak’Allah & Thank You
