Asalamualaikum parents,
We have had another joyful week with Reception full of so much imaginative and active learning. We have continued to work on the story of the Enormous Turnip!
Lets go through the week…
On Monday, we wrote in our weekend news books about what we did on the weekend, we also got busy with some junk modelling and play dough!
On Tuesday we focused on learning about number bonds up to 5. We worked in our maths books and thought about numbers that made the number 5, for example 2 and 3 makes 5.
On Wednesday, we had done with painting! As we painted our own pictures of the enormous turnip, we did some outdoor painting whilst developing our fine motor skills using squeezing bottles.
We also went to the Library and took some books out to read over, please do bring these books back next Wednesday.
On Thursday we wrote a shopping list for the ingredients for our cooking activity on clipboards as we made some yummy Salad.
If you would like to make salad at home you will need;
2 table spoons of Kidney Beans
3-4 carrots
half a lemon
2 tomatoes
1/4 lettuce iceberg
half a cucumber
On Friday we learnt about the Sunnah which is the sayings of the Prophet Muhammed (SAW), we learnt about the importance of following the sunnah of our beloved Prophet and all the good rewards we can gain by doing this. We worked on our colouring sheet and got creative on the art table.
For P.E this week we did some running exercises and had a game of tug of war using a pulling rope and encouraged the children to work together in their teams.
Snack time reminder: please do bring healthy food items that does not include NUTS as Suffah Primary and Early Years is a Nut Free school.
RECEPTION HAS BEEN GIVEN A SMALL AMOUNT OF HOMEWORK THIS WEEK PLEASE DO HELP YOUR CHILDREN TO DO THE HOMEWORK AND BRING IT BACK ON MONDAY PLEASE.
Alhamdulillah we have had another hard working week from Reception, please do continue to read at home and practice your phonics sounds and counting up to 20! Next week we will be working on the story of the Ugly Duckling, In sha Allah we will see you next week. We hope you have a fantastic weekend and look forward to hearing about it!
