Asalaamu Alaykum year 2 parents I pray you are well and in the best of health.
This week we celebrated international day!
As you know year 2 were representing Brazil. Children looked amazing dressed up in the Brazilian colours. We started off the day by creating passports which the children took to the different countries, each child received a stamp from the country to show that they visited. After playtime we got busy learning lots of about Brazil. Children learnt which continent Brazil was in, the population and the famous landmarks. We took a closer look at the Amazon rainforest and linked it to our English topic as we are learning about the negative effects of deforestation.
Children then got ready to visit the other countries. Children visited year 1 all the way to year 6 and did some great activities.
We ended the day creating carnival masks and learning lots more about Brazil.
