My Trip to the British Museum by Ahlam

On Monday 11th November 2019 me and my class went on a history trip to the grand British Museum. We went on this trip to learn about the might Romans.

The trip started with me and my class going on a big, warm, cosy coach. It took about one hour and fifteen minutes to get there because the bumpy roads were jammed with traffic. When we finally arrived we got out of the coach full of excitement. We rushed into the museum and put our lunch bags away.

When we went to our workshop we received the sad news that the lady who was supposed to carry out our activity called in sick that morning. Luckily a generous man gave us iPads to use instead.

After lunch we did an interesting scavenger hunt. I felt like I was in the Roman times. The ancient valuable artefacts surprised me and I learned that the Romans were similar to us. In rooms 49 and 50 of the museum there were big Roman coins which they used for storing wealth. I felt fascinated.

Finally we returned to school. I felt exhausted although I had fun. My favourite part of the trip was the scavenger hunt because I learned about Roman pottery and what it was used for.
